You can either plug your pump into the mains when you're at home, or use with batteries not included when you want to express away from home. For your peace of mind, this electric pump also features a 'closed' pump system, meaning means that your precious milk does not enter the tubing. The 2 in 1 pump has two separate phases which simulate your baby's natural sucking pattern the 'Let Down' phase, which gives a rapid suction to initiate milk flow, and the 'Expression' phase, which offers slower and deeper suction to maximise your milk flow. Please note Tubing and tubing connectors do not need to be washed or sterilised due to the diaphragm that prevents them from coming into contact with breast milk. The breast cushion and containers may be cleaned in the upper compartment of your dishwasher or hand washed with dish soap in hot water. For best results, use a baby bottle brush to clean the container and a teat brush to clean the insides of the breast cushions. Rinse with hot water.
